The Shops at Bruckner
The Shops at Bruckner1906 Story Avenue
Bronx, NY 10473
Located off the Bruckner Expressway (I-287) The Shops at Bruckner provides over 100,000 sf of street front big box retail with such national tenants as Marshalls, Old Navy, Gap Factory, Carter’s/OshKosh and Auto Zone with both rooftop and on-site parking. The Center sits amid a densely populated working-class neighborhood adjacent to Bruckner Commons, a 420,000 square foot shopping center; together the two centers provide a regional shopping experience with both destination and service oriented retail for the South Bronx Community.
The Shops at Bruckner serves the South Bronx Community, particularly the Soundview, Park Chester, Shore Haven, Classon Point, and Castle Hill Neighborhoods. Because of the center’s size and accessibility from the Bruckner Expressway, the center attracts shoppers from a larger radius than most urban centers.
Located at the intersection of the Bruckner Expressway and White Plains Road, the project boasts over 80,000 vehicles per day, all of which pass by the center. Multiple local and express buses (BX5, BX36, BX39, BXM7 &9) stop at or near the Center and the #6 subway is a 15 minute walk away.
Several local schools including the Soundview Academy (for art) and dense housing developments populate the area.
A façade improvement program is being planned.
